Your Local Guide to Dog-Friendly Spots

We believe dream homes belong to all of us, especially dogs! If you agree, you probably have a special someone you hate leaving at home. Here is a list of some of our favorite dog-friendly spots in our hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Don't have a dog? Our friends at the Humane Educational Society of Chattanooga have many pups ready for a new dream home.

Reflection Riding

Looking for a peaceful escape from city life to relax or enjoy outdoor time with your dog? Check out the Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center. This 317-acre facility, located at the foot of Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga, Tennessee, offers a unique opportunity to experience nature at its finest. It's a nonprofit arboretum, botanical garden, nature center, and historical site, home to various flora and fauna. It's an excellent destination for nature and outdoor enthusiasts.

Play Wash Pint

One of the unique features of Play. Wash. Pint., a dog AND human park on Chattanooga's Southside, is its custom dog fountain and variety of toys for play. The fountain offers endless entertainment for dogs, allowing them to splash around and cool off on hot days. Dogs can also enjoy playing with toys such as frisbees, balls, and ropes, either on their own or with other dogs. Whether they're interacting with other pups or simply fetching a ball, your furry friend is sure to have a great time.

Taco Mamacita

Are you a foodie who can't bear to leave your furry friend at home? Great news! Taco Mamacita, with locations on North Shore and at Hamilton Place, welcomes pets to join their humans on the outdoor patio. Bring your furry friend along for a night out and savor some delicious tacos and margaritas. In addition to the pet-friendly environment, Taco Mamacita offers a delectable menu with a variety of tacos featuring unique fillings such as blackened shrimp, Memphis barbecue pork, and fried avocado.

Oddstory Brewing

Breweries aren't often the first places that come to mind when searching for pet-friendly establishments. However, OddStory Brewing Company in Chattanooga, Tennessee, defies that notion by welcoming dogs into its taproom. This unique approach may seem unusual, but it's quickly garnering attention and admiration from visitors and locals alike. It's a great place to have a pint with your pooch.

Tony’s Pasta Shop

Tony's Pasta has been a Bluff View Art District staple for more than 20 years. Located next to the River Gallery Sculpture Garden, this cozy eatery welcomes locals and tourists alike with its charming ambiance and mouth-watering aromas. The restaurant is cozy and intimate, with exposed brick walls, soft lighting, and warm wood furnishings. The outdoor seating area is also perfect for pet lovers who want to enjoy a meal with their furry companions.

State of Confusion

If you're looking for delicious food, a friendly pet policy, and a great atmosphere, State of Confusion Restaurant in Southside Chattanooga should be on your list. This eatery offers a unique fusion of Latin American and American cuisine to satisfy your taste buds. Whether you're in the mood for classic cheeseburgers and fries or want to explore the taste of exotic seafood, ceviche, and paella, you'll find everything you need at the State of Confusion.

Mike’s Hole in the Wall

Mike's Hole in the Wall is an excellent spot for anyone in North Shore Chattanooga looking for a decent burger and brewski. This spot satisfies every craving, has a dog-friendly environment, and provides an unbelievable experience you won't forget. Its laid-back atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food and drinks are sure to put a smile on your face and make you come back for more.

Warehouse Row

In the heart of Downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee, there's a special place that combines the charm of the past with the energy of the present. It's called Warehouse Row, and it's not only a shopping destination but also a community hub where creativity meets functionality. With its airy spaces, industrial vibe, and a wide array of independent retailers, Southern Living has recognized Warehouse Row as "Best New Shopping Street" and "Where to Shop Now." But it's not just humans who love Warehouse Row - it's also a pet-friendly environment that welcomes dogs to join the fun.
